Whether you are considering applying to our Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program, our graduate studies program, or are simply seeking more information about the profession, we strive to make our Web site a resource for our community.
We recognize the changing mission of the new pharmacist and have developed a solid science-based program that keeps us in a leadership position in pharmacy education. Students may apply to the four-year professional (Pharm.D.) program after approximately three years of pre-pharmacy study. An exclusive feature of the OSU pharmacy program is that all students without a prior degree also earn a bachelor's degree in general science after their second professional year. We believe this is an important step that makes for a better-educated student and adds to the prestige of the doctoral degree.
I am committed to having our college be recognized as a national leader in pharmaceutical education, both for its professional pharmacy degree program and for its graduate studies leading to the master's or Ph.D. degree. Thus, we strive to offer a curriculum that is challenging and on the cutting edge of knowledge, while at the same time offering personalized attention to our students in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
