The Nebraska Medical Center, in partnership with the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), would like to introduce you to our residency and fellowship programs. We are committed to the provision of outstanding postgraduate residency and fellowship training. We currently have one of the most established pharmacy residency programs in the country and offer an array of experiences designed to prepare individuals for differentiated roles in pharmacy practice. In addition to our Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) pharmacy residency, we offer Postgraduate Year Two (PGY2) residencies in Oncology and Critical Care, and fellowships in Critical Care and Infectious Disease.
The primary emphasis of the residency program will be the development of practice skills in differentiated areas. Residents will participate in ongoing activities to further develop skills in the areas of research, teaching, problem solving and clinical practice. Biogen Idec, in collaboration with Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS), offers a 2-year fellowship program located in Cambridge, MA. Our program will provide you with specialized training in two of the fastest growing departments within the industry, Drug Safety/Risk Management and Regulatory Affairs. Through this program, you will gain in-depth experience in these two core areas, spending 10 months in Drug Safety/Risk Management and 10 months in Regulatory Affairs. In addition, you will have an option to complete a 4 month rotation in a department of your interest, subject to availability. Gaining experience in these two core areas will provide you with the skills necessary to work on multidisciplinary teams. Furthermore, the academic component offered through MCPHS will further enhance your professional development.

There is one position currently available for a resident beginning July 1, 2010.
