Advanced Experiential Program

Pharm.D. students can participate in the Advanced Experiential Program — seven advanced clerkships, each six weeks in length, completed over 12 months during the fourth professional year. This component of pharmacy education is an interesting, challenging and rewarding experience, and it offers unique opportunities for each student to explore a variety of pharmacy practice settings.

During clerkships, students are supervised by full-time College of Pharmacy faculty and by volunteer/courtesy faculty. These courtesy faculty — or preceptors — are practitioners who donate their time and effort to the program.

We encourage students to take full advantage of these opportunities for professional development. The program helps students decide which area of the pharmacy profession is best suited for their personal interests and talents.

Visit the Advanced Experiential Program Web site for more information.
