The College of Pharmacy offers a minor intended for undergraduate students in business, public health, health education or other health-related majors who are interested in a career in the health care industry. While completing a minor in pharmacy is not adequate preparation for work as a pharmacist, it is an excellent program for those interested in working in the pharmaceutical industry in sales, marketing or public relations positions. The minor does not require a strong science background and may not be appropriate for individuals in chemistry, biochemistry or biology who wish to pursue a research career. Previous graduates have found work in the health insurance industry and public health. Those wishing to declare a pharmacy minor should schedule an appointment with an academic adviser in the College of Pharmacy by calling the College of Pharmacy office (541-737-3424) or by stopping by 203 Pharmacy Building.
