Research in the College of Pharmacy is conducted by faculty in both the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Department of Pharmacy Practice.
Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences faculty focus on three main areas of research: medicinal chemistry and natural products, pharmacology, and pharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics.
Research programs in the Department of Pharmacy Practice include drug use management and pharmacoeconomic studies, cardiovascular drug effects and anti-infectious disease. The work with infectious disease overlaps with anti-infectives drug discovery research in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
