Research

Dean Haxby's work encompasses studies aimed at improving clinical pharmacy education for pharmacy students, documenting the benefit of clinical pharmacy services and research on common clinical disorders seen in the ambulatory care setting. Projects include developing ambulatory care clinical clerkships in a managed care setting, studying the effect of a training program for pharmacists on medication counseling and patient knowledge of correct medication use, an analysis of experiential learning activity of pharmacy students and a placebo-controlled trial of erythromycin in the treatment of nonstreptococcal pharyngitis.
