Department Activities:

Pharmaceutical Sciences hosted Dr. Chandrahas Sahajwalla, Deputy Director of the Division of Biopharmaceutics at the United States Food and Drug Administration.  On Wednesday, August 26, he gave a two-part seminar entitled, How OCP Fits into Drug Development, and Review: Overview of Office of Clinical Pharmacology (OCP).

Travels and Professional Service:

DeLander G attended the AACP annual meeting in Boston, Massachusetts.

On July 20, Ishmael J met with members of the Pharmacology Division at the University of Bradford School of Pharmacy, in Yorkshire, England, to interview a future graduate student visitor. 
Ganguli-Indra G. attended the Gordon Research Conference on Barrier Function of Mammalian Skin, August 8- 14, 2009, in Waterville Valley Resort, New Hampshire.

Mahmud T attended the 15th International Symposium on the Biology of Actinomycetes, August 20-August 25, 2009, in Shanghai, China.

Mahmud T attended the International Symposium of Chemical Biology, August 26-August 29, 2009, in Xiamen, China.
