The OSU College of Pharmacy awards approximately $150,000 in scholarships to Pharm.D. students annually. Scholarships are generally only available to Pharm.D. students after completion of the first year. A limited number of scholarships may be available for incoming professional students, but an application is not necessary or required.
There are also several scholarships and loan options that are not administered by the OSU College of Pharmacy. In most cases, a separate application is required for each scholarship. For additional scholarships, please see recent editions of the college's weekly e-mail newsletter.
For information on other funding sources, the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) has an online financial aid database called the Pharmacy Education Financial Programs (PEFP). The PEFP database contains scholarship, loan, grant and award information for current professional and graduate pharmacy students. Some awards require registration at specific colleges, but others are open to all pharmacy students. The PEFP is compiled annually by the 10 pharmacy-related member organizations of the Career Information Clearinghouse (CIC). It is hosted on the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Web site.
