Pharmacy Partner Benefits

Gratis table in a preferred location for Career Fair

When you are a pharmacy partner, we make sure your booth is in a high traffic area. Career Day fees are waived for pharmacy partners.

Preferred scheduling for recruiting

At our career fair, we have a limited number of rooms and pharmacy partners are scheduled first priority.

Preferred posting of your openings on the College of Pharmacy Web site

Throughout the year, the college receives numerous calls from companies looking for pharmacists. We always post these openings on our Web site; however, as a partner you receive a preferred posting location, as well as personalized efforts by our staff to connect you with just the right future employee. Check our Web site at pharmacy.oregonstate.edu We are always working to enhance this benefit.

High visibility among faculty, students and alumni

Major event sponsor

Our students, alumni and faculty are extremely active and participate in a number of educational and ceremonial events each year. As a pharmacy partner, you will have the opportunity to sponsor an event. There is no additional charge for the sponsorship.

List of events

  • White Coat Ceremony Dinner - The Dean and a guest speaker formally welcome beginning Pharm.D. students to the health field. Faculty members present each student with a white coat, which symbolizes their entrance into the profession. (This event is sponsored by 2 Pharmacy Partners)
  • P4 Reunion Day Luncheon & P4 Interview Day Breakfast - P4 students gather in the fall for lectures and socializing. The class reunites for an Interview Day with prospective employers, in Portland, at our new location on the South Waterfront Campus.
  • P4 Reunion Day - Spring - P4 students gather in the spring for a final class gathering, law review and overall year wrap-up.
  • Student Recognition Banquet - An event planned by the student executive council that enables the students to recognize their out standing faculty and preceptors.
  • P3 End of the Year Social - An end of the year celebration for third year students before they begin rotations in their fourth year. Faculty and staff also attend.
  • Graduation Recognition Ceremony Reception - This occurs after the College of Pharmacy’s graduation ceremony, which is a special tradition to honor our outgoing students.
  • White Box Luncheons & P3 Seminars - Pharmacy professionals speak to the “pharmacists of tomorrow” on topics that includes all aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. Luncheon presentations are held several times per quarter on both the OSU & OHSU campuses.

Recognition at other events

Throughout the year, the college produces a number of continuing education events where we acknowledge our sponsors. In addition, partners are invited to attend our annual Benefactors’ Dinner for scholarship donors and recipients. Partners are recognized and afforded networking opportunities with students, faculty and industry peers.

Listing on our Web site and newsletter

We want our partners to receive maximum recognition on our Web site and in print. The college’s newsletter reaches approximately 4,000 alumni and friends twice a year. The Web site is continually updated and offers partners a significant presence.

Advise on curriculum to meet industry needs

The dean of the College of Pharmacy hosts an annual meeting to ensure that the college can better meet the needs of our Pharmacy Partners.

How Much Does Partnership Cost?

An annual gift of $7,500 to the Dean’s Pharmacy Partners Fund allows your company to become a pharmacy partner. The funds raised by the program enhance the educational experiences of students; enable greater productivity of faculty; and create a better exchange between employers, the pharmaceutical industry and academia.

When Are Contributions Due?

Pharmacy Partnerships run from July 1 to June 30, shadowing OSU’s fiscal year. In order to take advantage of benefits connected to Career Day, we must receive your $7,500 contribution by Sept. 15.
