Research/Career Interests:

My research focuses on improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes primarily in hospice and palliative care populations. My current projects aim to better understand and ultimately improve pharmacotherapy decision making and subsequent patient and family outcomes in hospice care. I am also interested in methods to optimize infection control of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and antimicrobial use in complex patient populations.

Previous and Current Research Support: National Institutes of Health, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Cambia Health Foundation, Merck & Co., Inc., and Cubist Pharmaceuticals.
