Business Case Competition

On Saturday, October 12th, 2019 supporters of the OSU College of Pharmacy Entrepreneurial Academy (EA) gathered at the annual FAN CAVE EA fundraiser. Guests attended the winning business case presented by P2s Anas Hanini (’22), Kelli Hoang (’22), Jessica Hodgen (’22), and Justin Donat (’22). This business case, which presented a women’s healthcare add-on service to an existing pharmacy platform, was presented to a panel of judges at Professional Day on May 18, 2019.

After the presentation, students and guests enjoyed dinner while watching the OSU Beavers take on the Utah Utes from the private End Zone Suite in Reser Stadium. Thank you to our business case mentors Kevin Russell (’93), Lincoln Alexander (’15), and Natasha Malik (’19) who assisted teams in fully developing out their business proposals.

Special thanks to GSL Solutions and Consonus Healthcare for their generous sponsorship of the 2019 Fan Cave EA Fundraiser. Thank you to our many valued alumni and friends who purchased tickets and showed support for our EA program and pharmacy students.

Beaver Trivia Night

Through careful planning, management and execution of a complex event students learn marketing, event planning, contracting, sponsorship, advertising, financial management and committee organizational design. A culmination of more than six months of intensive planning, the Entrepreneurial Academy will host its annual fundraiser and health outreach event. This project is the capstone for EA members and provides an opportunity for students to engage in a large-scale event planning project. This year, the event featured a trivia competition and health fair where participants, including President Ed Ray, enjoyed informational booths, entered a raffle for exciting prizes, received preventative care screenings and tested their knowledge of OSU history, pop culture, sports and much more. Thank you to our local sponsors who generously donated to support this group!
