Workshops and Trainings

This training will cover OSU’s Policy against Sexual Misconduct, reporting obligations relative to OSU’s Responsible Employee Policy and the state Mandatory Reporting regulation. It will cover where, when as well as how to make a report and how OSU would like you to respond if you receive a disclosure of sexual misconduct. This training will also provide an overview of OSU’s policy against Discrimination and how OSU would like you to respond to a disclosure of discrimination. There will be ample time for questions (75 min).

This interactive experiential session focuses on the implicit attitudes, behaviors, or stereotypes that may influence how we engage with individuals and/or groups and make decisions in the workplace. The session provides an introductory exploration of the intersection of privilege, cognitive and structural bias, and micro and macroaggressions. The session reinforces the importance of having cultural agility and empathy. Participants will walk away with tangible tools for interrupting microaggressions and begin working on an individualized Diversity Equity & Inclusion Professional Experiential Plan (90 min).

As the student demographics continue to change, faculty and staff need to be intentional about creating inclusive classrooms and university spaces. This interactive session builds upon the strategies to support first-generation students and students historically excluded from higher education. The session introduces intersectionality, privilege, bias, and micro and macroaggressions. The session reinforces the importance of having cultural agility, empathy, and employing a growth mindset. Participants will walk away with tangible steps towards inclusion and will be encouraged to develop an individualized Diversity Equity & Inclusion Professional Experiential Plan (90 min).
