The College of Pharmacy at Oregon State University offers a research-oriented graduate program of study in pharmaceutical sciences that is individually designed to meet each student’s career interests and goals.
Our nationally renowned faculty members have strengths in all areas of pharmaceutical science, and many have been recognized for teaching excellence, outstanding research and their professional activities. Research focus areas include the exploration and design of anti-infective agents, the design and development of innovative drug dosage forms, and the mechanisms and consequences of drug interactions with living organisms.
Prospective students may apply to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Master of Science (M.S.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences degrees in the College of Pharmacy encompassing the research areas of drug discovery, gene regulation and disease, or targeted drug delivery. This should be clearly noted in the applicant's statement. Our formal application deadline for matriculation in Fall term for Ph.D. (domestic and international applicants) is January 1. The application deadline for the terminal M.S. degree is March 1 for international applicants and May 1 for domestic applicants. However, interested students should apply as soon as possible in order to take advantage of potential funding available from Oregon State University.
