Daniel Coleman of the Indra Lab receives the Sponenburgh Award for the best platform presentation titled "Role of Keratinocytic Retinoid-X-Receptor α (RXRα) in UV Radiation-Induced Melanoma Formation" on March 22 and 23 at the Graduate Retreat Platform Presentation in Salishan, Glenden Beach.

Daniel Coleman of the Indra Lab participates in the Scholar's Insight event, a graduate student competition to communicate impact, on April 3 and gives a 3-minute presentation.

Indra G, Indra AK, Abecassis J, Leid M awarded United States Patent, US 8,071,815 B2 for CTIP2 expression in Squamous Cell Carcinoma on December 6.

Stephen Hyter of the Indra Lab receives the Best Student’s Poster Award in the 2011- CGRB Fall Conference for a presentation titled "Role of Keratinocytic endothelin 1 (ET-1) in mediating melanocyte homeostasis in vivo" held in CH2M Hill Alumni Center on September 18-19.

Stephen Hyter of the Indra Lab won an award for podium presentation in the College of Pharmacy Annual Rising Lecture for a presentation titled "Keratinocytic endothelin 1 (ET-1) mediates melanocyte homeostasis and regulates UV radiation induced melanocyte activation in vivo" on April 1 and 2.

Zhixing Wang of the Indra Lab won an award for podium presentation in the College of Pharmacy Annual Rising Lecture for a presentation titled "Molecular mechanisms of Ctip2/Bcl11b -mediated regulation of epidermal lipid metabolism" on April 1 and 2.

2010

Steven Ma of the Indra Lab won the Undergraduate Excellence Award for poster presentation titled “In vivo role of keratinocytic endothelin-1 (ET1) in mediating keratinocyte and melanocyte homeostasis” at the Celebrating Undergraduate Excellence Conference at MU Ballroom on May 6.

Stephen Hyter gave a presentation titled "Loss of keratinocytic RXRalpha is associated with dysregulated paracrine signaling” that won second prize in the Cancer Research section of the 27th Annual OHSU Student Research Forum on May 13 and 14.

Daniel Coleman gave a presentation titled “Effect of UV Radiation and Nuclear Receptor Signaling in Keratinocyte and Melanocyte Homeostasis” that won the second prize for podium presentation in the Pathology section of the 27th Annual OHSU Student Research Forum on May 13 and 14.

Daniel Coleman won the first prize for his podium presentation titled "Effect of UV Radiation and Nuclear Receptor Signaling in Keratinocyte and Melanocyte Homeostasis” in the Cell & Molecular Biology section at the 91st American Association of Advancement of Science Pacific Division (AAASPD) meeting that was held from June 13 – 17 in Ashland, Oregon.

People’s Choice Award in the 2009 Austin Enterprise Challenge competition jointly awarded to Gitali Ganguli-Indra and Mark Leid on April 17 for help in developing a business plan “NeoHope” together with the MBA Masters students.
