You will receive updates as the dates of events get closer, so plan to check back to this page for any changes and keep an eye on your email.
You are encouraged to make every effort to attend this Spring Seminar as the agenda will cover important information you need prior to graduation. This event features information about financial aid, NAPLEX and MPJE updates, a pharmacy law review, a presentation covering PIC Training and Certification from the Oregon Board of Pharmacy, and more.
Check back here for more event updates.
Ceremony Livestream: Do you have family and friends that can't attend in person? We have set up our ceremony for livestreaming so that they can still watch from afar! If you have anyone that is interested in watching the ceremony this way, they can access the livestream here.
Reception: Following the ceremony in the breezeway in between LaSells Stewart Center and CH2M Hill Alumni Center
P4s: Because the College provides a private graduation for our professional students during which you receive your diploma, this serves in place of the undergraduate commencement activity that takes place on Saturday, June 13th.
The OSU Bookstore will be taking online orders for regalia starting April 23rd.
Degree Conferred: Your degree will appear on your transcript the week after graduation.
Jostens - Announcement packages will be available to order (Date TBA)
What is Convocation? - Convocation is a ceremony done in conjunction with OHSU. This is where they have their official hooding and "graduation" ceremonies. Since the College of Pharmacy already has our mandatory Graduation Ceremony separately, and many of the P4 class is still out on rotations, we don't make it required to attend. Our official Graduation on the OSU campus is where you get hooded, not at Convocation like the other schools in OHSU.
We highly encourage you to come if you can make it; it's a great opportunity to see the collaboration of all the schools and colleges first-hand and a chance to celebrate with your peers across all of these fields. We also host a small, intimate OSU College of Pharmacy reception in lieu of a hooding ceremony directly following Convocation.
Reception: Immediately following Convocation for students, family/guests and faculty (Rooms A105-106)
Note: This event does NOT replace the College of Pharmacy Graduation ceremony on June 12th, 2020
Parking at the Convention Center is extremely limited and we strongly encourage the use of public transportation or carpoolilng. If you choose to drive yourself or carpool, there are several options for parking.
A map of the area and available parking can be viewed HERE.
Click HERE for directions to the Oregon Convention Center and more information regarding parking.
Please note that the Oregon Convention Center is currently under construction and will continue to be so during the time we are there for Convocation. It will not disrupt the ceremony itself, but we are aware that it may cause entry and navigational difficulties for students, faculty, and guests. There is a great resource to stay up to date on the changes and important information about construction zones and building entries. As of now, the site indicates that 3 doors near what the OCC considers the main entrance (off MLK Blvd.) will be closed on the 3rd. We hope that, with robust communications and advance planning, you and your guests won't be caught off guard and will have time to plan for an alternate entrance and route.
