| “Thanks OSU Pharmacy for giving me the tools to craft a good life. Carolyn '64 and I have four children and ten grandchildren. I used my California Pharmacy license for 50+ years in ten or more different retail pharmacies, in more that 30 or more different locations, including 34 years with Safeway/VONS. I served several thousand patients and was not ready to retire when I did. This is a great career where you can help many, many without a scalpel. Just clarifying the multitude of colorful packages of whatever I hope was helpful. Go Beavers!” — John Phillip Laschober, Class of 1966 |
“After working many years at the bedside in oncology research, I decided to take a position at the National Cancer Institute in the Pharmaceutical Management Branch (PMB). Pharmacists in PMB are responsible for managing a portfolio of investigational agents that are supplied to over 1600 clinical trial sites throughout the nation and several international sites ... When I graduated from OSU in 2013 my goal was to work in oncology research but I never knew there were so many unique career opportunities available if you work hard and apply yourself. I never pictured myself working in the federal domain but you never know what doors will open sometimes to a fulfilling career.”
— Kayla McGahey Dye, Class of 2013
