For over 125 years, the OSU College of Pharmacy has been dedicated to training outstanding pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists, advancing research, and serving the health needs of Oregonians. As we look to the future, we are committed to bold, strategic growth that strengthens our impact and ensures our students have the best opportunities to learn, collaborate, and lead in the evolving field of pharmacy.
In alignment with this commitment, Oregon State University has approved our recommendation to make Portland the primary campus for the OSU College of Pharmacy. This transition will take effect beginning in Fall 2026 and represents a pivotal step toward advancing our mission.
This shift is an exciting opportunity to:
- Unify our student experience, bringing all Pharm.D. cohorts together on one campus for stronger mentorship, networking, and academic support.
- Enhance research and clinical collaboration, leveraging OHSU’s academic medical center and expanding interdisciplinary opportunities.
- Streamline operations, ensuring greater efficiency and innovation across education, research, service, and practice.
For nearly 25 years, our third-year students have trained in Portland, and since launching a Portland-based cohort in 2021, a growing majority of our P1-P3 students are already based there. With nearly all top pharmacy schools co-located with academic medical centers, this move strengthens OSU’s position as a leader in pharmacy education and research.
While our physical footprint is evolving, our identity remains the same. We are, and always will be, the OSU College of Pharmacy—committed to excellence, innovation, and serving Oregon.
This transition will be thoughtful and deliberate, with a continued presence in Corvallis, ensuring our strong connection to OSU remains.
