Dear Rite Aid Pharmacist,

This is an exciting time for the profession of pharmacy! Due to accessibility and the ability of pharmacists to provide many patient-centered services, several states are beginning to recognize our profession as a valuable link in the healthcare system. Legislation is being passed in certain states which authorizes pharmacists to prescribe hormonal contraception. This initiative will increase women’s access to care, provide a convenient process to get needed medications, and could help reduce unplanned pregnancies.

You have been selected by our organization to complete the continuing education training and certification course, Contraceptive Education and Certification for the Prescribing Pharmacist(© Copyright 2018 Oregon State University. All rights reserved.). We are providing the necessary education and training required for Rite Aid Pharmacists to begin offering hormonal contraceptive services at our many locations.

Thank you for leading the way into a new and exciting venture for pharmacists.
