P4 Year
Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience Rotations take place during a Pharm.D. student’s fourth year and provide diverse, real-world experience with pharmacies throughout the United States.
Learning Objectives
- Build upon the didactic lectures and introductory experiential training from P1 through P3 years
- Be prepared to enter any pharmacy practice setting
- Deliver optimal and evidence-based patient focused care to a diverse patient population
Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring Terms:
Advanced Pharmacy Practice
- Complete 4 required rotations (6 weeks each) - community, ambulatory care, hospital, and general medicine
- Complete 4 electives (6 weeks each) that allow students to diversify their respective experiences or focus in a particular type of pharmacy
- 1920 hours of experience total

Students may also decide to experience pharmacy practice in another country by arranging 1-2 rotations with pharmacists who travel abroad to participate in a medical mission.
