Your Health Matters
Your health and wellness is important for your success, both in and out of the classroom. That’s why OSU provides a variety of resources to support your mental, physical, and social well-being.
Student Health Services
OSU’s Student Health Services is available to all students. Services include after-hours care, nurse advice line, immunizations, contraceptives and sexual health, tobacco cessation, mental health, and allergy and asthma treatment, on-campus pharmacy, and more.
Health Insurance
Graduate students appointed as Graduate Assistants and Graduate Fellows are required to enroll in the OSU Student Health Insurance Plan available through PacificSource (unless a student provides proof of coverage in a comparable plan).
Ecampus students who live within a 50-radius of the Corvallis campus are eligible to enroll in the OSU Student Health Insurance plan.
International students (and their dependents, if applicable) are required to maintain health insurance, either through the OSU Student Health Insurance Plan or through a comparable plan.
Resources for Mental Wellness
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
Counseling and Psychological Services provides mental health counseling, including routine sessions, crisis care and emergencies, referrals, individual and group therapy, and survivor advocacy and care.
Anytime Anywhere: MySSP @ OSU App
Anytime Anywhere: MySSP @ OSU is an app that gives all OSU students, including Ecampus students, immediate access by text or phone with a licensed mental health counselor, 24/7.
Supporting Your Overall Well-Being
Whether you are looking for a group fitness class, working towards a PR in the weight room, or want to join one of 50 intramural sport leagues and tournaments, you’ll find it all at Recreational Sports.
Safe Ride is a service dedicated to providing safe rides home or to campus safely and without judgment.
The Graduate Student Commons, located on the sixth floor of the Valley Library is a space for graduate students to utilize for studying, socializing, and meetings.
Students with families can find assistance at OSU's Family Resource Center, which advocates for and provides services to students with children and all families with dependent care needs across campus to promote the academic, professional and personal success of the whole person. They work to identify and remove barriers for students with children to ensure equal access to campus opportunities and resources.
