- PHAR 507 (every term)
- GRAD 520 Responsible Conduct of Research
- PHAR 525 (735) Foundations of Drug Action I fall term)
- PHAR 601 Research (for first three terms of research rotations)
Coursework completed in the first two to two-and-a-half years of the program varies based on the student's research area of interest. Students will consult with their major advisor and graduate committee for specific course recommendations or other requirements.
Strongly Recommended Courses
- BB 550 & 551 Biochemistry I & II (unless prior upper-level biochemistry was completed)
- H524 Intro to Biostatistics (per-requisite for PHAR 528)

Biochemistry Waiver
Students who have completed an upper-level undergraduate course in biochemistry may request a waiver of the requirement to take the Biochemistry series, if advised by their major advisor.
